About Our Club

WISS started out in 1978 and quickly became a hugely successful local club, with British Champions, GB representatives and British records gained throughout the years. In 2019 we had an 18-strong team aged from 8 to 54 and took part in a total of 14 race events in the UK. Here are our stats for 2019:

    British Marathon Team Success

    Wisbech Inline Speed Skaters have closed the 2019 outdoor season in fine style at the outdoor British Championships at the weekend in Gravesend with every member of the team that took part in the 26 mile marathon completing the course.

    Lucy McInerney 26 mile full marathon Junior Girls British Champion
    Silver medals went to James Eve, Eve McInerney and Warren Eve. A bronze medal went to Mike McInerney in the Senior Men cateogry.
